Every spring, the Gunnison Resiliency Group collects inscribed hearts from various groups and individuals, and hangs them on the tree on Main Street. This was on one inscribed by a Western student….

What I love about the Gunnison Valley that makes it such a special place is both the community and how easy it is to get involved. Coming from Los Angeles California I always felt a little out of place. It was hard to get involved in community, and even harder to explore my passion for the outdoors. While moving to Gunnison was very hard at first, I soon found myself here, my soul if you would say. If you can get involved in the community here and find your passion, it will change your life forever. Additionally, Gunnison is a land full of mentors, and some of the most incredible people I’ve ever met.
