Dick Bratton remembered. A letter from Delaney Keating, about a great longtime friend of the Upper Gunnison Valley and its people, L. Richard Bratton, who died January 28, 2025.

County Commissioner Laura Daniels emceed the Journal event in Crested Butte, and concluded it with this ‘found poem’ she had collaged from the presentations:

What is this place in this corner of space?
Apocalypse doesn’t just mean the end of the world; it also presages the birth of a new one.
And that’s where hope lies.
